Set on the outskirts of Sleaford with excellent links to the A1, this hotel has the feel of a country house with all the amenities of a modern hotel.
Surrounded by nearly one and a half acres of grounds and gardens, the Lincolnshire Oak is renowned as the Sleaford hotel that delivers traditional quality, comfort and value.
All 17 rooms are elegantly furnished and decorated, with the modern facilities guests would expect from a hotel of this calibre.
Originally built in 1867 as a country house, after spending time as a war time Royal Air Force Officers Mess and then offices, it was converted and sympathetically extended into a hotel in 1989.
The Lincolnshire Oak is an excellent location for meetings and conferences. The hotel provides an excellent venue for meetings such as interviews, syndicate sessions and board meetings through to full-scale sales conferences with theatre-style presentations for up to 140 delegates.
Ideal for exhibitions, birthday celebrations or dinner dances, the light and spacious Acorn Suite can cater for up to 120 people in comfort and includes a private bar. For conferences, this room can host up to 140 people. It is equipped with a hearing loop.
For functions of up to 40 people, The Lincoln Suite, overlooking the grounds and gardens, provides an ideal location. Situated in the Victorian part of the hotel, well lit by natural light through its 3 large windows, The Lincoln Suite is also ideal for meetings and functions with up to 50 participants. The room is equipped with a hearing loop.
For intimate functions, private dinners and receptions, The Lounge provides a room with both space and intimacy. The original Victorian Lounge is ideal for smaller meetings and dinners. It is well lit by natural light through its 3 French windows overlooking the grounds. The room is equipped with a hearing loop.

All children are welcome. All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged GBP 5.00 per night and person for cots. With only 17 bedrooms, The Lincolnshire Oak retains much of the feeling of a country house, whilst offering modern, en suite accommodation.
Superior rooms, which are all doubles, are individually decorated, beautifully appointed and have plenty of room to spread out and relax.
Unfortunately, since the hotel does not have a lift and all bedrooms are on the first floor, they are unsuitable for guests in wheelchairs.
Smokers and non-smokers are catered for.
These rooms are ideal for the solo traveller. Each room has a bed measuring 4 feet, an LCD TV and light oak furniture.
These rooms are fully equipped and have either one double bed or 2 single beds. Please inform the hotel of your preference on the day of booking, either by using the comments field when making your reservation or by contacting the hotel directly, using the contact details supplied on your confirmation email. These rooms are the most spacious in the hotel, offering plenty of room for relaxation. There is a comfortable, soft bed and quality soft furnishings and furniture.
You receive a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine & box of chocolates as part of this package.
There are 2 choices for dinner at Lincolnshire Oak. In the Oak Bar you can relax on leather sofas and chairs. A good range of beers is stocked, with at least one Real Ale. There is also a wide range of spirits and wines. Traditional and continental meals are available every lunchtime and evening: from sandwiches and baguettes to full meals and specials that change daily.
The Garden Room is more formal but still relaxed. Here you can enjoy a full Lincolnshire breakfast, a Sunday lunch or a lovely 3-course meal from the extensive menu.

From the East and West on the A17:
- At the junction for the A153 for Horncastle, take the road into Sleaford.
